Next Steps in growing as a member

Now that you have become a member and a part of our church family your journey has only begun! We believe that it is the role of the local church to train and equip our members to be both an effective witness for Jesus and be able to disciple others to follow after Christ. To accomplish this we first hold one another to a standard of holy living. As a member you have agreed to uphold our church covenant and to obey the Master Jesus Christ. When you are found to be in sin, it is the role of the church to come along side you and in love call you out in this sin. Our goal is to restore you into a right relationship with Christ. Growth for a follower of Christ is vital as a stagnate spiritual life will breed sickness. Our three pillars of grow are Loving God, Striving Together, and Serving Others. Through this framework we aim to come along side you and together we will grow in our relationship with Jesus and walk according to his will.

Next Steps

Now is time to take the first steps toward maturing in your walk with Jesus.

Loving God

Whether you are a new believer or just new to our church the first step in establishing roots here is loving God. Our church loves God through worship. Sunday morning at 11am is set aside for worship of God. We engage in worship through song and praise, through our gifts in the tithe & offering, through the prayers offered, and through the Word of God. Just as physical food is necessary for a healthy body, so too is spiritual food (1 Peter 2:3). Come to church hungry and ready for the Lord to fill you!

Striving Together

Next you must commit to a deeper walk with Christ. If you are to obey Jesus, you must learn both to love his Word and his people. We do this through small groups (Sunday School) offered every Sunday at 9:45am. These small groups will allow you to develop relationships with like-minded believers that are in a similar season of life. We offer small groups for all ages from 3y/o until death! Here you will share experiences, life struggles, and pour into the Word of God. This is where your growth truly begins to grow deep roots.

Serving Others

The last step in growth is service. We believe that your growth in your relationship with Jesus is more important than how you may ease our burden. We reserve service (specifically leadership) for those who are mature in their faith. It is our Pastor’s heart that all who serve are first getting appropriately fed. We understand that service is an act of worship and we gladly serve our Lord that we might offer fruits that are pleasing to him (John 15:8).
